Fall Flags are Up!

Hi everyone!

Our new Fall designs are now up on the site at www.flagsrus.org/fall. There are

some beautiful, new Fall designs from all of our suppliers. Fall pre-orders are arriving in the warehouse daily! Order now for the best selection. With Fall comes back to school. The kids are never ready to go back but send them off right with a bright, new back to school flag.

We have recently added a new line of flags from Carson to our website. They are mostly seasonal designs now with a few everyday flags but I'm sure they will expand. Their applique flags are a high quality 3-ply polyester and the printed flags are made of a silky polyester material as well. They have some great designs! They also have a nice black and white monogram design. All Carson flags will be available at the end of July.

The weather is really warming up here in Kansas! Today we are just over 90 degrees and have been getting some pretty bad weather lately. This weekend we had high winds that took out a lot of trees and broke out some windows. You can deffinately tell it is summer time here! Happy Halloween Everyone! Hopefully you are flying your Halloween flag outside today and getting ready for all of those trick-or-treaters. It's feeling like Winter

Hi Everyone,

I am sorry we haven't written in awhile. Things have really picked up. Everyone is getting ready for Fall and Winter buying their flags and such so we have been really buisy. We have a good selection of Fall in stock now but you better hurry and get your Fall flags and mailwrap now because some designs are already selling out. You may think that it is too early to think about Winter or Christmas but it will be here before you know it. It's feeling like Winter in Kansas already! Last week we experienced a temperature drop. Right now it is 38 degrees outside and raining. The temperature is supposed to stay in the 50's and 60's the rest of the week. This weather is making me think Winter already. We are starting to get out Winter preorder flags in now so get them while they last. We will continue to get preorder items in the next few weeks. Order early so you can be sure to have them in time for the season. One of my favorite Winter flags this year is the Snowman and Dogs flag (see it to the right). It is so cute! This new line of flags has been very popular for us so get your orders in now because they might sell out quickly. There are some nice spring and summer designs as well as some everyday designs. We continue to update our site with new flag designs for each season.

Hello!

I hope everyone is having a great week because I have a small delima. I have 3 pear trees in my yard and haven't been able to keep up with them! What should I do with all of these pears? We've canned just about all we care to can so I have decided to try to make wine. I got a great book with lots of recipes and a wine making kit so I'm ready to get started now. I will keep you posted on how my expiramentation turns out but it has to age for 1 whole year! Can you believe that? I guess wine gets better with age. Harvest Time

Hello Everyone!

Here in Kansas it is looking and feeling more like fall every day. The temperature has been in the 70's and 80's the past couple of weeks. The leaves are starting to change colors and our pears and apples are getting ripe and falling off of the trees. The corn is starting to turn brown so before long the farmers will be out in the fields. Growing up on a farm Harvest was always an important time of the year so why not celebrate it. We have several harvest flags and farm scenes as well as some very cute John Deere flags. We have some great flags to capture all of the events of fall. Hi Everyone!

As most of you know we recently added a new line of flags from Russ Berrie. They have been selling very well for us. Unfortunatley there company did not stock up for such high sales. Many designs have gone out of stock and are not due back until February. We are working on getting these items marked as preorder items on the website so please be patient. The Disney flags have been especially popular and most of them are not due back in until February. I would encourage you to get your orders in for these preorder items now though. That way you can be sure to get your flag as soon as we get them in. Now for some good news! They will also be adding new designs for 2010. These should be on the website in the next couple of weeks. There are some really cute designs so be sure to keep checking out the website! I am sorry we can't get you all of these products now but we will get them out as soon as we can.

Hello everyone! So I have started school once again, and am getting very stressed already with all the work I know I will have to do this semester. Luckily, it's my last semester of classes, and I will student teach in the spring semester...YAY!!! Now that school has officially started, that means summer is officially over. Happy Monday everyone! I hope everyone is making it through this Monday.

Today I started back to college down in Manhattan. Being back on campus I heard a lot about the upcoming football season and how excited everyone is. Show your team spirit with a flag, mailbox cover, or any of our other sports items. We have been selling a lot of college, NFL, and MLB merchandise lately. Be sure to get your items early before they are gone for the season. The baseball season is drawing to a close and playoffs will soon be starting. End of the Week!

Hey everyone!! Hope you all like our new updated site and find it a little easier to use as well. Since IE8 came out a lot of people didn't know that you could just click a button to make it user friendly again so we just updated it and I hope it works for everyone now. Most of the time change is good but, sometimes it can be frustrating!

Speaking of change in a little over a month September 22nd actually will be the first day of fall. Here in Kansas we get all 4 wonderful changes in the weather. Sometimes it seems winter lasts forever but, we really do get all 4 and all of them are nice to experience. I know Sammy and Rhonda have talked about our fall flags and we do have a lot of them in now and they are going out fast as we are getting them in it seems. And then before you know it, it will be October and time for your Halloween flags to start hanging outside. We have a lot of new ones this year and there are a couple that I really like. Hope you all have your back to school flags already because I know our schools start next week around here, and the parents are ready and the kids well...not so much.

What a storm and Bailey!

Hi! I hope you all had a good weekend. Yesterday afternoon, we had such a CRAZY storm. Straight line winds up to 75 mph, sheets of rain coming down, trees uprooted, power lines crashing; it was NUTS!

I just got a new dog, her name is Bailey. She is so cute, and it was so hard to leave her this morning. Do you have a dog at home? NEW MATS

Happy Wednesday Everyone! We are halfway through the work week. Speaking of work, today I added a new line of mats to flagsrus. This new line is very unique. These mat are the coir mats. Coir is manufactured from the fibers of coconut shells. If you want to go green this is the mat for you. The brown bristles on the mat are great for cleaning off dirty shoes before going into the house and the nonslip vinyl backing hold them in place. The material also makes them easy to clean. You can just take the garden hose to them. They might not be as decorative as some of our other mats but I think they are much more functional. To make them more decorative you can get a rubber mat frame to put them in. You will find it on the mat page next to these mats. They come in monograms - all the letters of the alphabet - as well as one that reads "Welcome". So we are in AUGUST! Crazy that the summer has flown by so quickly! Me and Sammy start school again the 24th, and I think I can speak for both of us that we aren't ready to go back. Lucky for us, it's our last year of school and we will graduate in May. Even more lucky for us, we will be going back to school in the fall every year as we are going to be teachers. I am in elementary education and Sammy is in secondary education in English. Because of this, we need to always be ready to show our excitement for back to school items. My favorite? Wow last day of July can't believe it! Now is the time to start buying your back to school flags because they are very popular flags and I want to make sure we can get your flags out to you in plenty of time for you to hang up when school starts again in your area. So back to school means that the end of Summer is drawing close and Fall is about to start up. We have a lot of new fall flags this year and they are really neat. I have to say though I am not ready for Summer to be over yet, next week I am playing in a slow pitch softball tournament. Did you know that we have baseball flags to choose your favorite MLB team? Support Our Troops

Hi Everyone!

This past Wednesday our local National Guard Unit was deployed to Egypt. The town sent them off with a parade down Main Street so they went right by our store front. For this occassion we put out one of our Support Our Troops flags with a yellow ribbon on it the says Thank You. Many family members like flying these flags or other patriotic flags while their loved ones are over seas. We have a great selection of patriotic flags at www.flagsrus.org/patriotic. The Support Our Troops flags can also be found on that page. Let our troops serving overseas know that you are behind them by flying one of these flags. If you have a family member serving overseas we also carry the blue star flag. This flag is only supposed to be flown by people who have immediate family members currently serving overseas. We sure are proud of our local unit and wish all of the troops currently stationed overseas a safe return.

Rainy Days & Camping

Hi! It is a cool and rainy day here in Kansas. We had a pretty good thunderstorm roll through in the middle of the night, knocking out my power for a couple hours. It has been rainy this morning, but the clouds have finally passed, and it should be a beautiful day today. I hope this weekend is supposed to be beautiful weather. I am going camping with my fiance, and there's nothing worse than a rainy camping weekend. I hope all of you had a good weekend, and are ready for the work week!

County Fairs

Well, here we are at the end of another work week, well for most of us anyway. And its that time of year for the county fairs to start. Our county fair starts today so that's were I will be at well at least for the parade on Sunday and good fair food, and check out all the livestock. One of my favorite things at the fairs is the Bucket calf shows! My sister had one bad experience when she was little with a Bucket calf and it makes me laugh now just thinking of her traumatic ordeal. The little kids give such good answers on why they named their calf and what they have to feed them, its a good time.

We have a good selection of farm flags not to many with hogs but, their is a few different one with cattle, and lots with horses and chickens. Hey everbody its Friday again!! Ready for another summer weekend? I am that I know. I plan on doing some fishing this weekend and possibly going out on the lake as well. We have a couple of pages that have fishing flags on them as well. I know Rhonda said we are well into Summer but, I feel like it just started. So we still have a lot of Summer flags available and one's with boats, lakes, margarita's, wine, fishing, wildlife, beach and turtles. Did you hear about all those turtles trying to cross the runway airport at JFK I believe? Crazy I know delayed flights by like an hour or something. I would however recommend getting your Back to School flags now because unfortunately for kids that will be coming up next month for most schools. We have a couple of news one on our Fall page.

There are a variety of flags and accessories on this site. The main features are U.S. flags, State flags, and Country flags for outdoor use. It also features other outdoor flags and a variety of indoor flags. We are very excited about adding these products to are already existing line of flags. It is Friday!! Once again I hope everyone has already gotten their 4th of July flags already if not hurry up so we can get it out to you right away without you having to pay for FedEx Overnight or 2 day. We are getting most of our new Fall and Winter/Christmas flags up there are some really new nice ones, check them out. Most if not all of them are pre-orders though and won't be ready to be shipped till August the fall are available but the Winter and Christmas I should say are mostly pre-orders.

Well I have to go to a birthday party this weekend, and yes it is for Rhonda. She turns 21 finally!! It is supposed to be continually hot all weekend so a great weekend for a BBQ right. I hope everyone had a good Father's Day and got to spend some time with their Dads! The summer is flying by and before long it will be time for Fall sports. Hey everyone!! The 4th of July will be here before you know it, hopefully everyone has the flags bought and ready already. If you don't order now so that way you will still get it in time for the 4th! The new Fall and Winter flags will be up before to long as well. So start watching for them, Rhonda will probably send out a email to let everyone know when we have them up and ready.

We had a tornado warning yesterday afternoon. Yup its that time of year for Kansas, tornado's, thunderstorms, hail and floods. But don't worry to much we all survived the tornado yesterday. Its 91 today with a heat index of 100 which isn't as hot as it was yesterday. Well hope everyone is having a good start to their summer!

Hi! I hope it is as beautiful outside where you are as it is here. We have been in the 80's this whole week, and I am loving it! We have had a lot of inquiries about our flag frenzy program. There was a lot of success with this program, and we received a lot of your flags. Unfortunately, we are no longer doing the flag frenzy. It was fun for us to see all the flags come in, and we may do it again. A great time to get rid of some flags would be right before Christmas (and get those gift certificates)! Look for that program to come back in the fall sometime!

Hi all! Summer is approaching fast and that means time for summer flags. We have a great selection on our summer fun page and tropical page but it doesn't stop there. I like to go fishing and spend time with our black lab during the summer. He likes to go fishing too but usually ends up in the water scaring the fish away! It is almost summer, isn't it?? I feel so confused about the seasons.. Why?? you ask!! Well, because I've been busy working on Fall & Winter updates to the website. I go outside & know it's warm.. I know it's motorcycle & boat weather but my mind is stuck in Fall colors and Christmas themes! HELP!!!

Ok.. that off my chest, I am going to set the Fall & Winter aside for a few days and add 3 new designs to our monogrammed flags. Then I'll be adding monogrammed doormats to flagsrus. We've had a lot of requests for black & white monogrammed flags, we'll have them ready to go in just a few days!!

It great to have friends and family over to grill and enjoy some time outside. We have lots of flags with a grilling theme or beach theme if you are lucky enough to be hanging out on the beach. NCE update

Hi Everyone! Hope your day is going well. We are having beautiful weather here in Kansas and hope you are as well! Now for the not so great news. As was mentioned earlier Evergreen bought out NCE (two of the companies we deal with). Originally these flags were to start shipping again in mid April but things aren't running as smoothly as they would have liked. These shipment have been delayed a week to two weeks so it will be closer to the beginning of May when they arrive. We are very sorry for this inconvenience. However if you are tired of waiting on your flag we have a great selection in stock now for spring and summer. We will gladly make a substitution for you. If you are willing to wait we will get these flags out to you as soon as they arrive. Sorry for the bad news.

Happy April Fools Day! This is no joke though. We have been having some pretty windy days here in Kansas. Here are a couple tips to help you display your flags better on windy days. If you fly mini flags our rubber stopper keeps you flag from flying off of your pole. These can be found on our accessories page for just 65 cents. This is a cheap way to ensure that you don't lose your flag on windy days. For those of you that fly large flags or house flags we have a rotating flag pole that keeps you flag from getting wrap around the pole when it is windy out side. This can also be found on our accessories page. So, if you are having troubles with your flags on windy days keep these things in mind when you place your next order! Have a great day!
